Comparing Bullwaves and PU Prime requires looking beyond account names because similar labels can hide different pricing and platform conditions.

The decision should be based on the account, instruments, payment routes and legal protections available in the reader's country.

The comparison below looks at daily platform use, account structure, total trading costs, market access, payments and the legal framework behind each account. The aim is to show where each setup fits, which trade-offs matter and what readers should verify for their own strategy and location.

For traders already using MetaTrader, the decision often comes down to how much platform breadth they need, how costs are presented and whether regional product or payment differences affect day-to-day use. A broker that suits one strategy may be less practical for another, even when both advertise similar headline features.

Platform choice: PU Prime offers more routes

At Bullwaves, we built our environment around MetaTrader 5. The benefit is a coherent platform path. MT5 is available on desktop, in a browser and on mobile. Traders can use its multi-timeframe charts, pending orders, account history, depth of market where supported, and Expert Advisors without moving between separate platform families.

Our AI Insights helps organise data, sentiment, market news, alerts and macro events. Social Trading gives eligible users a route for following strategies. These tools sit around the MT5 workflow, but they cannot predict outcomes or make leveraged positions safe.

PU Prime publishes a wider list: MT4, MT5, PU Web Trader and the PU Prime App. Every account in the official comparison table is shown as compatible with those four options. It also states that Expert Advisors are supported.

This creates three concrete advantages for PU Prime:

1. Traders with MT4-only indicators or EAs can keep using the older platform.

2. Users who do not want MetaTrader can try the broker's web interface or proprietary app.

3. Account administration and copy trading can sit inside a branded mobile experience.

The screenshot above shows that PU Prime treats its app as more than a mobile order ticket. The interface presents manual-trading equity and copy-trading information, signal providers and account functions. That can be more approachable for a mobile-first user than the standard MT5 app.

Bullwaves remains the cleaner proposition for somebody who already wants MT5. Fewer front ends can mean fewer symbol mappings, saved-layout differences and account-compatibility questions. PU Prime's broader choice is valuable only if the chosen platform supports the exact account, instrument and function a trader needs.

Four PU Prime accounts versus three Bullwaves tiers

PU Prime's account structure is unusually important to this comparison.

Its official account types page publishes the following:

  • Cent: $20 minimum deposit, balance denominated in USC, spreads from 1.3 pips and no commission.
  • Standard: $50 minimum deposit, spreads from 1.3 pips and no commission.
  • Prime: $1,000 minimum deposit, spreads from 0.0 pips and $3.50 commission per standard lot per side.
  • ECN: $10,000 minimum deposit, spreads from 0.0 pips and $1 commission per standard lot per side.

All four list a 0.01-lot minimum trade size and access to more than 1,000 instruments. The table also shows free Autochartist and copy trading for all four. Islamic availability is shown for Cent, Standard and Prime, but not ECN.

Bullwaves offers Classic, VIP and ECN. Our published minimum spreads begin at 1.6 pips, 0.8 pips and 0.1 pips respectively. The account path is simpler, but current deposit and commission details should be confirmed in the portal. Bullwaves public pages presently display different starting-deposit figures, and we do not want to resolve that inconsistency by quoting only the lower number.

PU Prime wins the account-variety category. Its Cent account provides a live-money testing format that Bullwaves does not publish, while its Prime and ECN accounts separate high-frequency pricing into two balance bands. Bullwaves may be easier to understand, but PU Prime gives more precise choices.

Is a Cent account genuinely lower risk?

PU Prime describes its Cent account as a way to test strategies and become comfortable with live trading using smaller nominal values. A $20 balance is shown as 2,000 USC, and position sizing can be smaller in cash terms.

This can help a trader test the emotional and operational parts of live trading without committing a large amount. It does not make the underlying CFD safer. High leverage can still consume a small balance quickly, and a large percentage loss is still a large percentage loss even when the cash figure is modest.

A demo remains better for learning platform mechanics without financial loss. A cent account becomes useful when the objective is to observe real execution, spreads and behaviour with very small nominal exposure. Bullwaves offers demos but does not currently publish an equivalent cent-denominated account.

Comparing trading costs properly

PU Prime's pricing can look straightforward until the deposit thresholds are included.

For a trader with $200, PU Prime ECN is irrelevant because the published minimum is $10,000. The realistic PU Prime option is Standard, with spreads from 1.3 pips and no commission. For a trader with $2,000, Prime becomes available, publishing raw spreads and a $7 round-turn commission. ECN's $2 round-turn commission is available only at the much higher stated balance requirement.

Consider a simplified one-standard-lot EUR/USD example where one pip is worth about $10:

  • PU Prime Standard at a hypothetical 1.3-pip spread would cost about $13 through the spread.
  • PU Prime Prime at a hypothetical 0.3-pip spread would have about $3 of spread cost, plus $7 commission, for an illustrative $10 total.
  • PU Prime ECN at the same hypothetical 0.3-pip spread would have about $3 of spread cost, plus $2 commission, for an illustrative $5 total.
  • If the raw spread widens to 1.0 pip, those totals become about $17 for Prime and $12 for ECN.

These figures explain the pricing model. They are not live quotes or a promise that a spread will be available. Swap, currency conversion, share CFD commission and payment charges can alter the result.

Bullwaves publishes minimum spreads from 1.6, 0.8 and 0.1 pips. To compare our ECN with PU Prime Prime or ECN, a trader must add the Bullwaves commission displayed for the account and record typical live spreads. Comparing our 0.1 minimum with PU Prime's 0.0 minimum would be meaningless without that information.

PU Prime also notes a small-ticket commission detail: because MetaTrader rounds to two decimal places, a 0.01-lot Prime commission calculated at $0.035 per side is rounded to $0.04. That changes the round-trip commission from the theoretical $0.07 to $0.08. It is a minor amount, but it is the kind of precise disclosure that belongs in a serious cost comparison.

Trading tools and research

Bullwaves and PU Prime have distinct strengths beyond the platform.

At Bullwaves, AI Insights can help turn a large flow of news, events and sentiment into a more manageable research view. Social Trading provides access to strategy providers within a separate social environment. This can suit a trader who wants ideas and community functions connected to an MT5-first routine.

PU Prime includes free Autochartist across the four accounts on its comparison page. Autochartist scans markets for chart patterns, key levels and potential technical setups. PU Prime also publishes market analysis, news updates, calculators, education, webinars and copy-trading products.

Autochartist and AI Insights do different jobs. Autochartist is more explicitly focused on technical pattern recognition. Bullwaves AI Insights brings together broader market data, news, sentiment and events. A technical trader who wants automatic pattern scanning may prefer PU Prime's toolset. Someone who wants a broader information layer around MT5 may prefer Bullwaves.

Neither tool should be followed mechanically. Pattern recognition can generate false signals. Sentiment can remain extreme for a long time. A trader still needs entry criteria, invalidation points, position sizing and maximum-loss rules.

Markets and instrument count

PU Prime states that all four main accounts can access more than 1,000 instruments. Its market menu includes forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, ETFs, bonds and synthetic indices. Bullwaves also provides multi-asset CFD trading through MT5.

The larger published count gives PU Prime an advantage for traders who need less common markets. It does not prove that every PU Prime instrument has a tighter spread or lower funding rate.

For each market you plan to trade, open the contract specification and compare:

  • The symbol and underlying reference;
  • Contract size and quote currency;
  • Minimum trade and volume step;
  • Trading hours and holiday schedules;
  • Margin and stop-out behaviour;
  • Typical spread and separate commission;
  • Overnight financing;
  • Dividend adjustments for equity products.

A catalogue of 1,000 instruments is useful only when it includes the markets you need on acceptable terms.

Copy trading comparison

Bullwaves Social Trading and PU Prime Copy Trading both allow users to follow other traders, subject to eligibility and current terms. PU Prime gives this capability a prominent place in its proprietary app. Its account table marks copy trading as available across Cent, Standard, Prime and ECN.

PU Prime therefore has the more visible cross-account copy-trading proposition. Bullwaves may appeal more to a user who sees social trading as an optional addition to an MT5 workflow rather than the main mobile experience.

Before copying, check how allocation is calculated, whether open trades are copied immediately, what happens when a symbol is unavailable, and how stop-loss changes are handled. Review drawdown and trading history rather than focusing only on return. The copier can receive a different entry or exit price from the provider, especially in fast markets.

Regulation and the legal entity problem

Bullwaves is the trading name of Equitex Capital Limited, authorised and regulated by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority under securities dealer licence SD185. ETX Services Limited is described on our website as an independent representative and distributor, not an authorised EU investment firm.

PU Prime's official regulation information describes a multi-entity group:

  • PU Prime Trading Pty Ltd is regulated by ASIC in Australia under AFSL 410681.
  • PU Prime Limited is regulated by the Seychelles FSA under licence SD050.
  • PU Prime Ltd is regulated by the Mauritius FSC under licence GB23202672.
  • PU Prime (Pty) Ltd is authorised by South Africa's FSCA under FSP 52218, with its published description stating that it acts as an intermediary rather than the derivative issuer.
  • PU Prime Financial Services LLC holds a UAE CMA Category 5 licence for arrangement, advice, introduction and promotion, not for acting as the trading counterparty.

PU Prime also describes a Cyprus company that facilitates group services, including payments, without operating trading terminals. These distinctions matter because a list of group licences is not a single package of protection.

PU Prime may offer a locally regulated option that is more suitable for some eligible traders than Bullwaves' Seychelles entity. For example, Australian users who onboard through the Australian site are told that PU Prime Trading Pty Ltd is the product issuer. A global customer should not assume the Australian licence applies to them.

Read the company name during registration. Match it to the regulator's public register and the client agreement. Then review client-money handling, complaints, negative-balance provisions, country restrictions and compensation arrangements, if any. Regulation reduces certain business risks but cannot prevent trading losses.

Deposits and withdrawals

PU Prime's official policy states that deposits and withdrawals are handled through its approved channels and that delays caused by payment systems are outside the broker's control. A separate Help Centre article publishes example arrival times after funds have been deducted from MT4 or MT5. It lists two to three business days for cards and different ranges for local bank routes.

PU Prime says it does not charge a general withdrawal fee in the policy reviewed, while banks or payment providers may charge their own costs. Conditions, exceptions and method availability should be checked in the secure client portal.

Bullwaves supports cards, bank transfers and regional payment methods depending on country. Our Help Centre states that requests are normally reviewed during working hours once documentation is complete. Arrival depends on the payment rail. The portal displays the methods, current limits and fees available to a specific client.

With either broker, verification and source-of-funds checks can slow a request. Fund from an account in your own name, complete KYC before a withdrawal becomes urgent, and keep enough free margin if positions remain open.

Where Bullwaves is the more natural fit

  • Your trading process already centres on MT5.
  • You want AI Insights and Social Trading around that core platform.
  • You prefer a simpler Classic, VIP and ECN progression.
  • You do not need MT4, a cent account or a proprietary broker app.
  • The Bullwaves Seychelles entity is available and suitable for your circumstances.

Where PU Prime is the more natural fit

  • You need MT4 or prefer the PU Prime App or PU Web Trader.
  • A $20 Cent account is useful for small live tests.
  • You want Autochartist included across the published account range.
  • You qualify for Prime or ECN and its commission structure fits your trading volume.
  • A PU Prime entity in your jurisdiction provides the regulatory arrangement you prefer.
  • You need a larger published instrument catalogue.

Bullwaves vs PU Prime Accounts and Platforms: which setup fits you?

Bullwaves vs PU Prime has a clearer dividing line than the Vantage comparison. PU Prime is stronger on platform breadth, account variety, the Cent format, Autochartist and its published 1,000-plus instrument range. Its account table is detailed enough to show exactly why different traders might choose Standard, Prime or ECN.

Bullwaves is stronger when the extra choices are unnecessary. We offer a more focused MT5 experience with AI-supported research and social features around it. A trader who does not need MT4, a cent balance or PU Prime's proprietary app may prefer that simpler environment.

Do not compare Bullwaves ECN with PU Prime ECN unless you qualify for both. For many retail users, the honest match will be Bullwaves Classic or VIP against PU Prime Standard, or Bullwaves ECN against PU Prime Prime. Test the exact pair of accounts, calculate the full cost and confirm the legal entity before funding.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is PU Prime cheaper than Bullwaves?

PU Prime ECN publishes a very low $2 round-turn commission with spreads from 0.0 pips, but it also publishes a $10,000 minimum deposit. Prime publishes a $7 round-turn commission with a $1,000 minimum. Bullwaves publishes spreads from 1.6, 0.8 and 0.1 across its tiers. Live spreads, Bullwaves commission, swap and conversion must be added before deciding.

Does PU Prime offer MT4?

Yes. PU Prime lists both MT4 and MT5 across its main account types. Bullwaves currently supports MT5, not MT4. This makes PU Prime the easier choice for a strategy that relies on MT4-only code.

What is the minimum deposit at PU Prime?

The official account page reviewed publishes $20 for Cent, $50 for Standard, $1,000 for Prime and $10,000 for ECN. The amount and account availability should be confirmed for the entity serving your country.

Does Bullwaves have a cent account?

Bullwaves does not currently publish a cent-denominated account. PU Prime does. A cent format can help test live processes with smaller nominal values, but leveraged trading remains risky.

Which broker is better for copy trading?

PU Prime integrates copy trading prominently into its proprietary app and marks it available across its four main accounts. Bullwaves offers Social Trading alongside its MT5-centred environment. PU Prime has the broader published mobile integration, while Bullwaves may suit someone who wants copying as an optional part of a focused MT5 workflow.
